I can’t believe my Alani has graduated high school🥹 (i had cried off about 60% of my eye makeup & mascara this picture) 2. 2011: It feels like yesterday I was holding her as a precious, blue eyed baby. Tears filled my eyes today looking at her adorable little face, in her kindergarten graduation cap and her tiny hand, holding her little paper “diploma” scroll🥹 3 & 4: Fast forward what feels like a few blinks of my eyes and years disappeared into senior photos and high school graduation photos😭🥹🎓 5. This was my first cry of the day: watching my beautiful, young woman, gracefully walk with confidence in her cap & gown…as if time sped up and my heart still wanted to rewind time and hold onto her being little, a little while longer❤️ 6. We all tried to be the family that cheered, hollered, whistled and yelled the loudest…especially since I didn’t end up ordering the cowbells I thought would be fun and the family next to us with the air horn did make me wish I bought some. 7. Afterwards when I hugged her…my heart just sprang a love-leak I couldn’t stop crying and holding onto my baby girl who graduated❤️ 8. Alani with all her siblings & cousins ❤️ who all cheered the loudest! 9. With her Nonni & Nana - in a complete “grandma sandwich” of love ❤️ 10. Alani & her sweet boyfriend, Jadyn - who wins for best “vintage tuxedo t-shirt” award also! To my Alani…(oh no, I’m crying again😭🥹😂)… My first baby girl, you’re my heaven-made-best-friend (I know people say you can’t be friends with your kids but I think you can be their parent and they can be your best friend too❤️) since before I even saw your face. You are filled with so much creativity, from writing that’s brought me to tears and in awe of your talent, to your works of art that have amazed me. Everything you touch and do, is turned into art. Even though you love punk music and playing the bass, your tender, kind and caring heart will always be the music that your heart plays for the world.
