Come to think of it, I don't see thinly sliced meat in Western butcher shops. In Japan, there are different thicknesses of the same thin slice of meat for ginger-yaki, sukiyaki, and shabu-shabu. This is pork belly for shabu-shabu. It is so thin that you can see through it.
