I would drink until I wasn’t able to hold the cup anymore. “How did I get home?” “What did I do?” “Is anyone mad at me?” “Do they know how depressed I am?” “Did I do something wrong?” These were the questions I had for the next few days as I would sit in a hole of depression. And then I would do it all over again. Finally I was done. I was done hurting myself and my loved ones. 1,825 days ago I stopped drinking. 5 years ago I made the best choice for myself and I don’t think I would be alive today if I wouldn’t have made that decision.
