Do you know that there is a ferry as an access option to Nishi-Izu, apart from cars and buses? It is called "Suruga Bay Ferry" and it connects Shimizu Port to Doi Port. The 75-minute journey, with a view of Mount Fuji, turns the travel time into a wonderful experience.
