The futuristic phenom. The sport sensation. Meet ‘Swooshman,’ arguably the greatest superhero in the history of superheroes. Swooshman’s legend began in the mid ‘90s when Nike’s Sport Entertainment division created a mascot that embodied the power, soul, and innovation of athletes everywhere. It was one of the most advanced mascot suits for the time, and made out of custom molded neoprene so the performer had full range of motion. The suit itself was designed in Hollywood by the same studio that made the suits for another very popular superhero 👀

These “Swooshman” artifacts have been supplied by the Department of Nike Archives.
