Kanazawa, a city with graceful beauty nurtured by the samurai culture, has been spared from war and other major disasters. This work, using lacquer dials carefully crafted in Kanazawa, is made by combining an innovative manufacturing method that directly combines metal and lacquer with traditional techniques to create smooth surfaces.
