Swipe to see me wearing the same t-shirt 20 years ago with @ava_dash that @tallulah_dash loves and wears now. I bought the tee from a street vendor in the West Village of NYC before Tallulah was even born. I saved it because the fit & graphic is perfect. I saved it because of how it made me feel, perhaps hoping I would have daughters that loved it too. Have I accomplished, everything I have hoped in the last 20 years, of course not. What I now know is that what I want more than anything is to affect the way people feel. I’m learning that enlightenment means to lighten up. To not take things so seriously. And when things happen that I can’t help but take seriously, I hightail it to nature, animals & friends that allow me the chance to fail. Because within that failure is my opportunity to grow in places I didn’t realize I needed to. One of the ways we can give either ourselves or loved ones, love, is allowing the chance to fail.
