Our shared history has nurtured the extensive and substantive bilateral cooperation we enjoy today, including in trade, finance, defence, education, as well as new areas such as the digital and green economies. DPM Dowden and I reaffirmed our excellent bilateral relations which continue to grow and strengthen. In recent years, we have signed several important agreements such as the UK-Singapore FTA, UK-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement and the UK-Singapore Green Economy Framework. Glad we have agreed to begin negotiations on a new Bilateral Investment Treaty, and the UK has also substantively concluded negotiations on its accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
