The new E-Class combines tradition and modernity – and there is one visual highlight that perfectly illustrates this bridge. An illuminated radiator grille surround (optional extra).

For this remarkable feature, two optical fibres are placed behind the chrome strips. Light is fed into the glass fibre bundles via LED modules. For the Welcome and Leaving functions, the radiator surround is illuminated in combination with the position lights. While driving at night, the radiator surround is illuminated in combination with the headlamps.
