I’m deeply concerned and unsettled with the supreme courts decision to ban affirmative action. Knowing that this country and its systems were originally built to make it nearly impossible for brown, black, Asian people (and women!!!) to succeed. Affirmative Action was put in place in the 60’s to give students and employees an equal opportunity to succeed in life. To consider how they overcame our systems adversities, against all odds to thrive and want a better education and opportunity. I’m at a loss at how people in power view this country. Seeing our communities as threats rather as one. THAT is the core of my disappointment.
