For 20 years, Steve Frykholm—Herman Miller’s first in-house graphic design lead—created a series of food-themed, silkscreened posters to commemorate the annual company picnic. Initially offered only to employees, the posters have become beloved in both the collectors’ market and in museum collections worldwide. His second poster of the bunch, a zoomed-in abstract of a watermelon slice, is being released as a limited-run reprint for the first time ever and faithfully reproduced using the original screen that Frykholm used in 1971.
