The @georgeharrisonofficial produced @ravishankar_maestro album, “Shankar Family & Friends”, has been reissued and is available now on @darkhorserecords .

Out of print for many years, Ravi’s classic 1974 album is out now as a special edition orchid color vinyl LP release and, for the first time ever, as a standalone CD. One of the first releases on Dark Horse Records, its East-meets-West musical styles put Western musicians such as @ringostarrmusic, Billy Preston, Jim Keltner, @klausvoormannofficial, and Nicky Hopkins side-by-side with Indian-music pioneers Alla Rakha, Ashish Khan, Shivkumar Sharma and Hariprasad Chaurasi.
