My bedroom window looks out to a brick wall with black tar splattered all over it. Not cute. One day, a few days before my 30th birthday Shawn asked me to meet him at Home Depot. I love Home Depot and am often there for plants or projects, so I didn’t think much of his request and met him there that afternoon. He took me to the paint section and asked me to pick out several colors. No explanation, just pick. I chose 6 bright fun colors. He got the samples and we headed down to my place. As we enter my apartment he tells me the plan... He explained that he hated the idea of me waking up having to see black tar on the wall first thing in the morning, so why not paint a Jackson Pollock-esque mural over the tar instead.
