ガゴシアン・ギャラリーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ガゴシアン・ギャラリーInstagram)「In collaboration with “Kaleidoscope” (@kaleidoscopemagazine), Jim Shaw (@jimshawstudio) has curated a film program titled “Monsters” to celebrate his cover story in the spring/summer 2023 issue of the magazine. Featuring Montgomery Tully’s “The Electronic Monster,” Julian Roffman’s “The Mask,” and William Castle’s “13 Ghosts,” the program will be screened from 2 to 9pm this Sunday, July 23, at Brain Dead Studios (@braindeadstudiosfairfax) in Los Angeles, an experiential space hosted in a former silent movie theater. To kick off the screenings, Shaw will be in conversation with Gagosian director Jessica Beck (@j.a.beck) to discuss his recent paintings, which reanimate mythological themes through incidents from political history and popular entertainment.
