These lucky scuba divers got an extraordinary chance to see it alive.

This incredible fish holds another impressive record - it’s the longest bony fish known to us, with the biggest one measuring a whopping 36 feet (11 meters) long. The oarfish has a unique way of swimming - vertically, with its head up and tail down - and it can move both horizontally and vertically in the water. Quite a fascinating creature, isn’t it?
