日本庭園の玄関口である「木戸門」。
この門を潜るときには、少しだけ頭を下げる必要があります。

これは、「全ては礼に始まり、礼に終わる」という武士道の規範を反映し、屋根が意図的に低く建てられているためです。

「木戸門」の周りには河津桜が植えられており、早春には満開の桜に小鳥たちが訪れる華やかな景色が広がります。

“Kidomon”, the entrance to the Japanese garden. This gate marks the entrance to our garden, but it also serves for another purpose.
When you pass through this gate you will find that you will need to bow your head as the roof was deliberately built lower to reflect the Samurai Bushido code which states: “Everything starts and ends with a bow”.

The “Kidomon” is also a popular photo spot due to the Kawazu-Sakura that grow near the gate. This type of cherry tree is in full bloom from mid-February.
