We have met so many incredible Rwandan people who we are proud to serve and who have brought so much joy with welcoming dances. We visited a female social enterprise community which is part of a Village Savings and Loans group established by our partner the @pilotlightfoundation with @the.body.agency Collective. These female entrepreneurs have come together as a community, loaning each other money to start their businesses. We heard about businesses ranging from goat farming to tailoring. They have achieved lasting self-sufficiency and a foundation for future generations to build upon often passing on their business to their daughters. They also shared their stories of how HIV and cancer have affected the village and how money they have raised now goes towards their treatment. It was so incredible to see the strength and solidarity of these women.
