I’m happy with my result (🥈) at our nationals last weekend, yet I know I can do so much better. It’s hard when you’ve ran well in the past, I’ve proven I can do it. To myself and to others. Automatically that brings pressure. Every year I believe I can get to that level again, but when things happen throughout the season, quickly I’m behind schedule. I run slower than I used to, maybe I’ll never get there again. Thoughts like that run through my mind all the time. I keep believing though. I used to do it, so surely I can do it again, right? People write me off, but don’t know how hard it is for athletes to keep performing at the same level for years and years.
