On our final approach to llulissat, Greenland—during our trip by sailboat to follow Sir John Franklin's route in search of the Northwest Passage—our captain and writer, Mark Synnott @m_synnott, spotted this beauty of a berg, so we made a detour to document it. The shots feel like part of a cheesy inspirational poster with a quote about perseverance and some over-the-top photoshopping, but I assure you it's all real. A light breeze came in, allowing the crew to turn the motor off and tack back and forth with full sails. We shot our little hearts out for a couple of hours of pure joy.
