Baku Old Town is very beautiful with many brick buildings. The entrance to the inside of the walls of the old city, "Shemaha Gate", is a symbolic building of the old city, but in front of this gate was an F1 course! The inner part of the city wall is called "Icherisheher", and it is registered as a World Cultural Heritage site because of its historic townscape.
