Their goal? To claim the second free-ascent of the “Cowboy Direct,” a 32 pitch 5.13a on the Trango Tower (20,469 ft), in what would become a historic repeat of the infamous route first climbed by Todd Skinner, Jeff and Steve Bechtel, Bobby Model, and Mike Lilygren who spent over 60 days on the wall to establish the climb in 1995.
