「家族で年会費払えば公園散歩感覚で美術館に行けるよ」と教えてくれたのはニューヨーカーたちで、特定階の観たい小展示だけフラッと立ち寄って観て残りは適当に流して帰る、というのを何度も何度も繰り返せるのはたしかに素晴らしい使い方である。あと公園だって公道だって寄付や税金で賄ってるものでただの空き地や道ではないのだという強い気持ち強い愛ね。
