In 1998, Brian and Jimmy Buffett collaborated on “South American” from Brian’s Imagination album. Brian flew down to Key West to record the vocals with Jimmy. “South American” was the second single released from the album. Said Brian: “I was in awe of the guy – he’s got such a great voice and he’s a cool man. He’s a very cool guy. We walked in there and click – just like that! I’m telling you, that song has merit.There was a connection there, yeah.”
