What’s next? Giving it time. With the WGA strike still going on, studios have some issues to sort out, which means ‘Becoming Her’ is stuck on the back burner. Impatience has been my biggest struggle, as I see it has been for many of you guys also! Many are asking me to turn it into a book so they don’t have to wait any longer for the information but the main reason why I am so hesitant is because of this - my screenplay is SO historically accurate, that as a book, it would be completely legal for anyone to use it for their own research to make a film without me. Why do I fear this? Because without any creative control, they could potentially produce another poor quality biopic with a miscast or too many detail omissions and quite frankly, they’d also be able profit off of my efforts…and it surely was not easy to do. In fact, after doing the work, I can see why every other writer before me didn’t do the homework. It was a huge spider web that I had to untangle by hand, thread by thread. Many days I wanted to quit with how frustrating it was trying to uncover the raw truth.
