Have you noticed that Matilda the Platypus slightly resembles a Chipmunk in this video? That’s because Platypus have specialised cheek pouches where they store their food. These pouches are located at the back of their jaw and allow for a Platypus to resurface, take a breath and then get back to the important task of chewing and eating their catch.
