I will #neverforget witnessing this horror. The shock and agony, anger and disbelief at the capacity for such evil was a potent mix which, sadly, too many people in the world have experienced for themselves. It certainly was my awakening to the destructive nature of angry, righteous men. And then came proof that courage and heroism, grief and healing were a powerful antidote to our painful collective despair. While suffering continues for those who lived through personal loss and trauma, that event bonded us as a nation. I am reminded that bond is our true strength and must be protected and preserved in honor of those we lost and those who were forever changed on #911.

Early on the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 hijackers took control of four commercial airliners. The first impact was that of American Airlines Flight 11, which crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 08:46. Sixteen minutes later, at 09:03, the World Trade Center’s South Tower was hit by United Airlines Flight 175. Both 110-story skyscrapers collapsed within an hour and forty-one minutes. Never forget this day and the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost during the attacks 🌹
