On this #SaturdaySalute, we recognize Academy Award-winning actor and filmmaker Robert Duvall.

Raised in a military family, Robert’s Dad served as a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy and hoped his son would follow in his footsteps. But Robert had other plans – he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953. Upon completion of his enlistment, Robert was honorably discharged, having attained the rank of private first class. Aditionally, Robert utilized his GI Bill benefits to attend acting school.

Thank you, Robert, for your service to our great nation. Today, we salute you!
