Denny is now one of the boys 🦍

At almost 9 years old, Denny is now considered a sub-adult gorilla (also known as “blackback”). At this age, a gorilla naturally ventures out on their own or joins a bachelor troop. Over the last few months, Denny has had the opportunity to live with his three half-brothers, Maka, Mandazzi, and Ekuba in their bachelor troop at the Zoo. The transition from family to bachelor troop gives Denny the chance to grow and thrive into adulthood alongside fellow adult males that he’s familiar with.
