@nissanuk is celebrating 20 years of its London design studio with this wild hatchback concept vehicle.
Named the Concept 20-23, the Nissan concept was developed within Nissan Design Europe (shortened to NDE) studio and produced by its young team members. Their direction was simple: "To design a car - with no constraints - which they would like to drive on the streets of the city where they work." Naturally, the final result is quite impressive.
Concept 20-23 is said to be inspired by Nissan's Formula E participation as well as modern day online simulator racing. Highly aggressive fender flares dominate the short wheelbase, while extra large black wheels fill the wheel arches. LED lighting is a given, but perhaps not the overlayed circular headlight design across the 20-23's raked front nose. Speaking of "23," an oversized vinyl application of the number is found on the quarter panel, referencing "ni" and "san" which is "2" and "3" in Japanese, respectively. And what would a concept vehicle be without scissor doors?
What are your thoughts on the 20-23? Should Nissan take inspiration from it and create something real out of it in the near future?
