Everyone in attendance at #GlobalCitizenFestival was united to see the end of extreme poverty across the globe. Global Citizens like you and me have taken over 3 million actions, including monumental pledges to prioritize human rights for women and girls, an area near and dear to my heart. There are still millions of people who need help in this fight, and it is imperative that we amplify this mission with as many as we can. It was so great to announce the progress of the pledge made by #Verizon to help young students have the tech they need to learn at the highest level with the CEO of Verizon @hansvestberg and the outstanding eighth grade Verizon Innovative Learning students Angie and Naoki. It also was incredible to share the stage with Ineza Umuhoza Grace— an astounding young Rwandan female environmentalist who has made real and powerful strides to hold world leaders accountable for the carbon footprint they create. On stage she called for climate action and announced youths' demands ahead of @cop28uaeofficial launched by @lossanddamageyouthcoalition.
