It is generally always over a course of different laps for each team member. Today was 2 laps of a 4 leg course for the 8 runners in each of the senior teams! Others did a 6 leg course. I’ve done quite a few NZ road relays now and it was cool to have it in Canterbury again this year! The course wasn’t the same as the iconic Takahe to Akaroa course (first run in 1935) but it was still a really awesome course thanks to the brilliant organisers!! Beautiful scenery and all ran smoothly! Am grateful to have run alongside my awesome, talented team mates and to have the support of many, including Sam and Azaliah along the way! Azzy even calling out “Mumma!” 💜🧡💜 41:02 for 11.2km was alright for me (36:25 at 10km). It was a slightly downhill lap overall (a few ups and downs) with a headwind for quite a lot of it but a nice tail wind for the last 1-2km. Our team was the 4th Senior Women’s team. Well done on the @nhbaysbabes getting 1st and 2nd and @whippetsrunningproject on 3rd! How good is women’s running in NZ right now? 🇳🇿 Stoked for the UC men’s team who got 2nd! 🔥🔥 Someone who loved this event more than almost anybody else was our hero Daniel Reese who passed away from cancer 2.5 weeks ago! He was in our thoughts a lot and was very missed today- his legacy lives on💜🧡 Next up for me- track season yay! ✨✨✨」9月30日 16時50分
