a few weeks ago my dad came up to have lunch with me and he pointed out a spot on his arm. When I saw it I immediately knew what it was and made an appointment to see a dermatologist, who then did a biopsy and found out it was skin cancer.

He just had it removed (swipe, but warning it’s stitches) but sharing this as a reminder to please wear sunscreen everyday. The best sunscreen is the one you want to wear. I don’t care which you choose mineral or chemical — something is better than nothing. I just encourage you to find one you don’t mind applying everyday — and remember to get your skin checked with your dermatologist annually and if you see anything unusual, get it checked it out. 🤍

Also my dad is doing fine! he’s also had a cancer of the eye and prostate cancer, both of which he is diligent with follow up’s post radiation to monitor.
