And as if the weekend wasn’t magical enough, after my set I found the living legends guitarist @leeritenourofficial and pianist Dave Grusin chilling at the bar. They both have decades of deep ties to Japan. If you aren’t familiar with Dave, you’ve heard his music everywhere beginning with the Andy Griffith show to the score of the Goonies, the Graduate, the Firm, to his incredible work with @クインシー・ジョーンズ and @jamestaylor_com (I urge you to watch the #PBS documentary, Not Enough Time! Dave Grusin: Not Enough Time @grusinfilm ) Currently on tour of the Blue Notes and more.

ライブ後にバッタリお会いしたLeeさんとDaveさん。そのご縁に感謝！茶碗蒸しを食べるところにご邪魔させていただき、、心がドキドキ💓ブルーノートでのライブにも行って、涙が止まらず。どうやって時差や連続ライブにもめげずスタミナが続くのか、、やはり2人は50年以上のキャリアを重ね、そして音楽を奏でるために生まれてきたというか、何歳になってもけろっとライブができちゃうのです。簡単に見えるほど実はレベルが高いのに！インスピレーションを沢山いただきました。今デイブさんのドキュメンタリーも見れます: @grusinfilm #クインシージョーンズ や　#ジェームステイラー さんとの関係も見れて素晴らしいフィルムです。
