Christie’s is thrilled to announce The Collection of Jerry Moss.

Co-founder of A&M Records, Jerry Moss was a music industry giant who pioneered a new way of running a record label: prioritizing the artist. It brought some of the century’s best musical artists to their roster such as Carole King, Joe Crocker, The Police, Janet Jackson and Peter Frampton. His art collection is an extension of how he thought about running a record label. He acquired artists who were independent and boundary-breaking. In music as in art and life: creative freedom came first. Moss’s art collection comprises a fantastic group of objects that span a range of genres, representing the European avant-garde, icons of Latin American art, and contemporary masters. To be offered this November in our 20/21 sale series, collection highlights include Friday Kahlo’s Portrait of Cristina, My Sister and Pablo Picasso’s Nu couché.
