言語の壁に関しては聞いてきましたが、
他の国に比べてやっぱり壁は感じるけど、
なんとかやってはいける、といった印象です👀

A little more than other places.
他の国に比べると日本は通じないことが多いね

I speak English. She speaks French,
私は英語を話すし、彼女はフランス語を話すから

so we can cover a lot of the world.
大体の国は大丈夫なんだよ

When we arrived at the hotel, the person spoke French, so it was perfect!
私たちが泊まったホテルにフランス語を話せる人がいたの あれは完璧だったわ！

I think people here in Tokyo they speak a little bit of English, I feel like.
東京の人はある程度英語が話せると思います

If you use gestures and words I think they can understand.
なのでジェスチャーや単語で話したら通じると思いますよ

Worries was the taxi driver.
タクシーに乗ったときは不安だったわ

We were not sure if he understood where we wanted to go,
運転手さんが私たちが行きたいところを理解しているかどうか分からなかったから

but we had a map and on my phone I have that translation app.
地図と翻訳アプリがあったから

So what I did is I did things like this,
こんな風にしたわ
We're looking for that hotel, and I put it like that.
このホテルに行きたいんですって見せたの

He didn't understand English at all?
英語は全く通じなかったんですか？

The taxi driver? No. No.
タクシーの運転手さん？彼は通じなかったね

But I showed him what hotel and I had the address,
ホテルの名前と住所を見せたら

so he was happy with that.
理解してもらえたわ
