Urs Fischer's public sculpture "Wave" is on view at Place Vendôme in Paris to coincide with Paris+ par Art Basel (@artbasel).

This monumental sculpture began life as a simple mound of clay—gripped, kneaded, and squeezed instinctively in the artist’s hand. Fischer describes the process as “a sensual and repetitive gesture, like a bodily motion,” which he ends prior to conscious intervention. The resulting form was 3D-scanned, enlarged, and digitally sliced into components which were then fabricated out of aluminum. Follow the link in our bio to learn more.
