栄村と新潟県津南町にまたがる山間地域「秋山郷」
日本の秘境100選にも選出されたこの地に
絶壁の露出した岩肌が印象的な「布岩」はあります😀✨️

規則的な割れ目が美しい「柱状節理」によって、
長い岩を何枚も垂らしているようにも見えます👀✨️

特に10月中下旬から11月初旬ごろの紅葉の時期は
圧巻の景色を楽しむことができますよ🍁✨️

Akiyamago Nunoiwa
(Sakae Village; Tsunan Town, Niigata Pref.)

The mountainous region of Akiyamago sits on the border of Sakae Village in Nagano and Tsunan Town in Niigata. In this picturesque location that has been designated one of Japan’s Top 100 Hikyō (unexplored/secluded regions), you’ll find the Nunoiwa dome with a rugged wall of bare rock.

The regular pattern of fractures in the rock creates a beautiful display of polygonal columns, a natural phenomenon known as columnar jointing.

From mid-October to early November, you can enjoy spectacular scenery of autumn colors.
