The ramen in Asahikawa, Japan’s coldest city, has a distinctively flavored double soup. 🍜🍜

It is a blend of tonkotsu and fish-based soups which is topped with hot pork fat.

The fat serves as kind of ‘lid’ to keep the ramen from getting cold. A plus in a city that once recorded Japan’s coldest ever temperature of -41℃ and regularly sees temperatures below -20℃.🥶
