The study found that dogs dream similar to humans in that their dreams are often representative of their daily experiences. Of course for involved pet owners, a dog’s owner is a large part of that daily experience and would frequent their dreams.

So next time you see your beloved dog twitching mid-dream while fast asleep just know there is a high chance they are dreaming about you.
