The new @bocadeagua hotel overlooks the crystal clear waters of Lake Bacalar in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Designed by architect @fridaescobedo, the low-density hospitality destination aims to make a positive impact on its environment.
It comprises a series of spacious and carefully crafted jungle tree houses, made from local FSC certified tropical hardwood and elevated from the ground to minimise their impact and footprint on the site. Over 90 per cent of the 82 acres plot remains untouched and will be part of a conservation programme.
