John Stamos is a dish - and he knows how to cook one too.

About a year ago, Times TV critic Robert Lloyd was preparing to interview @ジョン・ステイモス about his series “Big Shot.” Editor Vanessa Franko suggested that Lloyd ask Stamos “where he goes for good Greek food in Los Angeles.” Lloyd did, and by way of answer, Stamos made Franko a video. It turned out that, in addition to sharing Greek heritage, they both grew up working in their respective parents’ restaurants.

With the release of Stamos’ memoir, “If You Would Have Told Me” — a sweet but unsparing chronicle of highs and lows from what he regards as, overall, a lucky life — The Times brought the two of them together to talk about parents, food, restaurants, Greekness and his memoir as they prepared the Greek dish fasolakia.
