コヤマシゲトさんのインスタグラム写真 - (コヤマシゲトInstagram)「OBAKEってなんだ 11月9日〜22日までニューヨークのSohoにらあるギャラリー、NowHere NYCにて「SHIGETO KOYAMA CCMS experiment OBAKE」という展示をやることになりました。仕事を始めておよそ25年くらい経ちましたがその途中成果物をお見せして「デザイナー」という仕事のアレやコレをお蔵出し展示できれば、と思っております。ですが、ここには完成品やイラストの展示はありません。それとは対照的に、ここ数年お休みしていた「CCMS」の新作をここで展示し、販売もします。これらはぼくがいま欲しいものを、いろんな人の協力のもと作らせて頂きました。密かに進めていたコラボもあります。あくまでぼく「個人」の業績や成果を展示する“個展”ではなく、いろんな方との「集団」制作物を展示するというとても“実験”的な試みであるので、今回は「exhibition」ではなく「experiment」と銘打ってます。みなさんとNYCでお会いできるのを楽しみにしております。 What the heck is OBAKE? I am pleased to announce that CCMS is coming to NYC! We will present "SHIGETO KOYAMA CCMS experiment OBAKE" at Nowhere NYC in SOHO, opened November 9 and will be on view until November 22. Bringing the process deliverables and unpublished materials across my career of 25 years in the anime industry, I would like to introduce what Designer actually does here. I dare to set up this show without any finished products from the previous titles I worked on, including the illustrations you might have seen in the media. On the flip side, CCMS's freshly-finished products will be unveiled for the first time in years, and they are available for sale! These items are made out of my enthusiasm. It never happened without support of the project team and collaborators so I hope you will enjoy. I do not intend to make this opportunity to showcase my personal achivements. Rather, this is our challenge to display what we collectively produce together with other creators with different roles and talent. That is why we define this show as "experiment", but not "exhibition". I would be happy to have you join us.
