エンダースキーマさんのインスタグラム写真 - (エンダースキーマInstagram)「隙間 @sukima_galleryは、西坂晃一による「substream」を開催します。 1980年岡山県生まれの西坂晃一は、台東区・浅草橋の古道具屋／ギャラリー「白日」の店主。有名無名を問わない古道具、古美術、作家による新作を扱い、独自の世界観は骨董に新しい解釈を与えています。2016年に「白日」をオープン、それ以前はラッパー、シェフとしての経歴を持ちます。 本展「substream」は、西坂によって集められた「素材」と、西坂によって選ばれた作家たち、両者の対話から生まれます。さまざまな廃棄物や古物をもとに、参加作家はそれぞれの技法、マテリアルによって全く新しい作品を制作、西坂はそれらを展示空間に配置していくことで、展示を形作っていきます。西坂のステイトメントからは、有形無形のモノが持つ潜在的な力と作家が持つ力が交わることで、さらなる骨董の解釈が生まれる可能性を、読み取ることができるでしょう。 陶芸家・福村龍太、漆芸家・花野秀明、金工家・大平宏介、ガラス工芸家・西山芳浩とともに、西坂の依頼に答える形でHender Schemeも参加、各作家によるユニークピースを展示販売します。 *参加作家は変更になる場合があります。  隙間 presents the exhibition 「substream」 by Koichi Nishizaka. Born in Okayama, Japan in 1980, Koichi Nishizaka is the owner of the Asakusabashi based antique store / gallery ‘Hakujitu’. Presenting found objects, tools and antiques alongside new works by artists, both famous and unknown, Nishizaka’s unique world view gives a new interpretation to antiques. Prior to opening Hakujitu in 2016, Nishizaka pursued careers as a rapper and as a chef. This exhibition,「substream」is the result of a dialogue between the ‘materials’ collected by Nishizaka, and the artists he passes them to. The participating artists have used their own techniques and materials to create completely new works from a variety of discarded and antiquated objects, which Nishizaka will then arrange in the space to form the final exhibition.
