I had the pleasure of partnering with @Chobani to create traditional Día de Muertos dishes like pan de muerto and champurrado. These dishes highlight the traditions of Día de Muertos and what this special holiday means to me.

Pan de muerto:
Recipe makes 6 large pan de muertos

✨ Ingredients ✨
240g Chobani® Oatmilk Extra Creamy
18g instant yeast
640g bread flour
14g kosher salt
70g granulated sugar
3 whole eggs
3 egg yolks
84g unsalted butter, room temperature
20g melted butter, for final basting
¼ cup ground cinnamon
¼ cup granulated sugar

👨‍🍳 Directions 👨‍🍳
1. Warm oatmilk to 95ºF; then, add yeast and mix until dissolved. Set aside for 10 minutes, or until yeast blooms.
2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add flour, salt, and sugar and mix on low. Once yeast has bloomed, add to the mixing bowl and mix until incorporated. Add room temperature butter a few pats at a time, allowing it to be incorporated each time before adding more butter. Raise the mixing speed to medium and mix until dough starts to pull and stretch from the walls of the bowl.
3. Wipe the inner walls of a separate large bowl with oil or butter.
4. Remove the dough from the mixer and shape into a tight ball. Place the ball into the large bowl cover with a damp towel. Allow to proof for 2 hours.
5. Once dough has risen, punch the center down. Separate into 7 even portions, shaping 6 of them into even balls of dough. Place the 6 balls of dough on sheet pans. brush each dough ball then cover with a damp towel and let it proof for one hour.
