Additional background: Mosab’s father, Sheikh Hassan Yousef, is a co-founder and leader of Hamas. After witnessing the brutality and savagery of Hamas on its people, he defected and worked with Shin Bet (Israel’s Intelligence Agency) for ten years to thwart further terror attacks. His codename with Shin Beit was The Green Prince because of the green color of the Hamas flag. After converting to Christianity in the late 90s, he publicly renounced Hamas and Arab leadership. He moved to the USA and was eventually granted political asylum after a lengthy battle and pushback from the American government. His handler, while in Shin Beit, played a significant role and flew out to the USA to help get Yousef citizenship.
