Today, I was lucky enough to enjoy a tour of The Missing Thread, an exhibition at Somerset House conceived and curated by Harris Elliott, Andrew Ibi and Jason Jules. A trip down memory lane, it’s a wonderful celebration of some of Britain’s brilliant black fashion designers, most familiar to me, but sadly often unsung. It also includes the first major staging of the late Joe Casely-Hayford’s archive, several of Joe’s magnificent designs, I could date from sight. If you’re in town, I highly recommend a visit to this very special, beautifully executed exhibition
