The exhibition will be entitled "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion." Some 250 items drawn from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection—some rarely seen in public before—will be on display. Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator in Charge of @METCostumeInstitute, explained that the exhibition will be centered around approximately 50 historically significant and aesthetically beautiful pieces from the collection that are far too fragile ever to be worn again. The exhibition calls for an entirely new and innovative method for its visual presentation, intended to push the boundaries of our imagination and stimulate our senses via video animation, light projection, AI, and other surprises dreamed up by @Nick_Knight, founder of @SHOWstudio, who has been recruited as creative consultant. The artist Sissel Tolaas, known for her work with @Demna at @Balenciaga, has developed scents to accompany certain key installations.
