The sense of awe I felt when we brought the SW Jewellery brand over here was a mixture of hope, pride (and especially for our journey, faith that it would 'work'), not just in the US market, but specifically in New York City. While I am in a new chapter, I still get that feeling when I see Aussie brands in international markets—not the hope it will work, but the swelling of pride of Australians expanding, of showcasing their talent and creativity in international markets. Australia is a long way from here, that in and of itself is a huge part of its beauty and appeal, but from a business and creative sense, is a big undertaking to take what you are doing there to this part of the globe. One of my favourite Australian brands, which I am fortunate to wear often, @Leolin_official, is a brand doing incredible things both in Australia and internationally. So when Corinne asked me if I wanted to shoot with her on the steps of one of New York's most incredible buildings, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I knew this was the dress that had to be there, and to get these photos shot by an Aussie, wearing an Aussie brand, felt very special to me.
