Veterans Day is about more than just expressing gratitude for the service of our vets. We must also work to ensure that the needs of our veterans are being served.

The 2020 Census reports that there are over 1.2 million veterans living below the poverty line. That’s simply unacceptable. We have to do better for the people that have sacrificed in service of our nation.

Let’s stand up and fight together for the urgent needs of our veterans. Let’s demand more from our leaders, and let’s each do our part to make a difference in the lives of the veterans in our communities.
