Gotta be hard earned years of wisdom no doubt😂 That might be a stretch but I do know that I may have had less gray and better eyesight at 30 but I sure as hell couldn’t appreciate then like I can now! More and more with age I deeply appreciate love, family, friends, human connection, health, TIME and MOMENTS like never before. I’m acutely aware of their passing and when not spent in alignment with my purpose and soul. I’m more firmly rooted in the present and appreciate it more and more for what it is and not what I think it should be or where I think I need to be. This pic was taken today after dropping my kids at school where just before my daughter was throwing a FIT for not having a pink TUTU 🤦🏽‍♂️ on my BIRTHDAY! How dare she. But after I slammed the door after a wee bit of frustration, still a work in progress haven’t fully arrived even at 50, I did catch myself and grin, appreciated that as being part of developing and had a moment to reconnect with her. Even the hard moments I’m finding are moments to be present in and appreciate them in some way. Appreciation leads to gratitude which leads to feelings of well being which I think humans innately tend to pursue.
